The Backsplash Story

{ The Backsplash Story } a personal favorite.

We found this tile laced throughout our newly remodeled home and of course had to find more to finish our downstairs kitchenette project.

It was stunning. The different textures throughout added subtle dimension. With hints of purple, mauve, and earth tones, the colors would change ever so slightly depending on the lighting and what we had nearby.

After lots & lots of research we actually found a match and wouldn’t you know it was said to be discontinued... and because of this we were told that it could not be shipped from stores or the manufacturer. So we searched stores all over the Pacific Northwest only to find a few squares here and there.

Wouldn’t you know that there were approximately 30 squares scattered back home throughout the Midwest. Well, huge shoutout to my parents who saved the day by bringing us what they could find when they drove across the US to pay us a visit. With their help, we had the remaining backsplash that we needed to finish the project. Over the river & through the mountains with a load of backsplash in their trunk. What parents will do for their kids...Thanks Mom & Dad.
